“Mom, do you know where are all my jeans gone? I only have 1 jean for last several months.” Thomas was very upset about his missing Jeans.
“Are you sure? I put your jeans right here.” Right over the chest in front of his room, with piles of socks, undies.
“Nooooo, this is THE ONLY jeans I found yesterday. I only have 1 jean for months.” Thomas tried to explain.
“Let’s see if we have any old jeans you can wear… Ah, try this one… and try this…, hey, you have 3 more pairs now.”
“This is too tight.” “Looks nice to me, you are just used to LOOSE jeans.” “Don’t you think this IS too tight? It’s TOO tight!”
“Ok, try the other ones.”
“Let’s go to Kenneth’s room and find out if he has something you can wear…”
“There you go, try this on.”
Then we went upstairs again. I sit on the check while Thomas was going thru all the new old jeans. Jeffrey was there folding all the socks…
“MOM, MOM, MOM…” “What? Don’t MOM MOM me. What do you want?” Sean always calls me “MOM MOM MOM” or “MOTHER” when he needs something.
“When will you come home tomorrow?” “Why, about 4 to 5.” “Can you drive me to Target, I want to buy more weights.” “Don’t you have enough?”
“He needs some 30 lb ones.” Thomas answered for Sean.
“Really?.... I don’t know… too heavy is not good for you…” I worried.
“Hey, can you helping me folding socks while sitting there?” Jeffrey finally asked.
“OK, Thomas and Sean, come over here.” “Whoever folds the most socks will go to Target with me.” I announced.
The boys started competing with each other.
“3”, Sean said it loud. “3 too” Thomas followed. Folded sock were flying and landing to top of the chest.
“7”, “8”, “10”, …. “15”, “I got 15 too!” Thomas yelled.
“Thomas, what were you looking for?” “My MISSING jeans.” Thomas replied. “Oh, let me see if I have yours…” Jeffrey went to closet and checked out his inventory.
“There you go. 2 pairs.” “OK” “Now you have 6 pairs.” I summarized. “Can I have 1 pair back?” Dad worried about not having enough for him. “OK, there you go. Now I have 5.”
Well, this was the end of the day. 5 pairs jeans and 30 pairs of socks. Nice =)
