8th doctor...

Our journey for scoliosis is getting more and more interesting...

After 4 months of treatment from Dr. Liu, I decided to try another doctor and hope this will work for Thomas' shoulder pain and lower back pain.

As always, Mom tried the new doctor first. I got treated twice for my old car accident "internal" injury. For each appointment, Dr. Wu spent 1 hr carefully examed me. Explained things and adjusted my jaw, head, neck, shoulder/arms, and spine. This is the 1st time that a "doctor" will spend so much time on me.

So, after 2 visits, Jeffrey and I decided to bring Thomas over.

When we arrived, Thomas asked... "He is having this in his home?" "Yep, he doesn't have a license." "Mom, this is no good." "Chinese doctor is more like mentoring system. You learn from your master and there is no special way to test you. It's all depends on who and how good he is..." "He is well known and all by referral."...

I guess, since Thomas already had Dr. Liu treating him for a while. He now is more familiar with "Chinese Doctor" and has certain "trust" about the "Chinese" way.

Again, Dr. Wu was surprised by this BIG 15 years old. He carefully examed Thomas for a while, pointed out positions, and issues he found. Then, he started adjusting Thomas.

The GOOD news is Thomas spine is "not bad", "What do you mean, Not Bad?" "Some people got very bad curves. Less than 20 degrees is more treatable." (So, it should be less than 20 degrees...)

According to Dr. Wu, Thomas' shoulder pain is actually caused by his right hand. Lots of people have this issue, fingers/wrist are dislocated due to sports, too much computer or video gaming... His lower back pain is caused by the muscle injury. However, Jeffrey and I thought it might caused by the curved spine during past couple years. His jaw/head/neck is a little off too.

Dr. Wu adjusted his jaw/neck/shoulder, hand/arm and lower back.
Thomas' shoulder pain disappeared right after the adjustment, but came back during the evening. His head had some tinkling in the evening which should be "as expected" since his jaw/head/neck was adjusted and his body will need to realign.

This is the 8th doctor we've been seeing so far.

Dr. Zhou identified his minor scoliosis issue but refused to adjust him.

Dr. Shen from Kaiser San Jose - as standard practice, she said we should "observe", but it went from 10 to 19 degrees in a year and then she referred us to specialists.
AS Doctor from Kaiser San Jose - checked and said he had no AS.
AS Doctor from Kaiser Oakland - checked and said he had no AS.
Scoliosis doctor over Kaiser San Jose - ordered hard braces and mom refused.

Janzen & Janzen - the CLEAR method... hard work...4 hr a day, 3 times a week for 6+ months... cost LOTS of money... and he got worse...and Matt insisted that he had a shorter leg instead of unevened hip.

Dr. Liu - chinse doctor for internal medicine/acupunture/acupressure/massage - adjusted his hip and spine with 1 hr acupressure every week in 7 appointments, then every other week. Dr. Liu actually refused to treat him more than once a week since "the body needs to adjust by itself" and "won't be better if I treat him more often".

Dr. Wu - chinese doctor for sports injury - adjsted his jaw/head/neck/shoulder, hand/arm/spine, and muscle...

And, Vitamin D... Thomas is low in vitamin D and Dr. Shen prescripted some mega does vitamin D pills for him. Lack of vitamin D will cause pain and spine curves...according to kaiser's website...

Thanks god and thanks to all our friends and family...
