2002 Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!

Year 2002 has been a very special year for me with lots of things that I’ve accomplished:

  2. Started The Chung's Family Web Site : www.angelfire.com/folk/thechungs
Scanned all my old black n white pictures and uploaded to the Chung’s Family site.?
  3. Helped Kenneth and Sean started their own web sites! Welcome to the e-family! Thanks to Lycos (Lycos bought Angelfire?), now, we are all linked together: www.angelfire.com/in/LouiseLeesHome
  4. Stopped checking the boys?homework! (WOW!!) Kenneth and Sean work on their homework, Sean helps out Thomas?homework, Kenneth reads with Thomas. Louise does the talking and status checking The results? So far so good!
  5. Visited Las Vegas this summer. The boys sure had lots of fun? Our Vegas Trip
  6. Found a swimming teacher and an art teacher for the boys... Our Art Gallery
  7. Back to the weight BEFORE having kids, and found out I am always so-o-o C-O-O-O-L-D... Louise's 3 Day Diet
  8. Got my 1st Bmer: BMW 525i (2001, silver)
  9. Jeffrey got his Acura MDX (green) @ his birthday!!
  10. Finally, I am now 40 years old. (So, from now on, please remember that Louise is 28.) I actually had my birthday in China, with Jimmy, #6 Uncle,& #10 Uncle... Louise' 2002 Trip to China

Kenneth is in the 6th grade. 160+cm, weight unknown. He is getting braces now. As the doctor told me, after 2 years he will be so good looking I could just send him to Hollywood! (This really made me think about getting braces myself also!) We agreed that Kenneth didn’t need to attend Chinese School, nor piano lessons this school year - all his friends and their families knew of this GREAT NEWS by the following day. Kenneth got the ”Most Spirited Scout” award from his Boy Scout patrol during their 1-week summer camp. Kenneth’s best friend, Miles, just signed up for the same swimming class as Kenneth. This is a year-round swimming club that is run by a Chinese lady with about 60+ Chinese kids. (Miles is ¼ Vietnamese, 2/4 French, and ¼ American; Miles’ dad plans to join the club also.) Flying Fish is the name of the swimming club. During the rainy season, the boys HAVE TO swim in the rain (don’t worry, the pool is heated - 82 degrees.) Hopefully, Miles’ piano teacher will take Kenneth soon…. Kenneth cooks for Thomas every Sunday morning - Thomas enjoys the scrambled egg and MOM enjoys staying in bed! OK, OK, MOM stays in bed until 9:30am and cleans up the house 9:30 – 10:30am.

Sean is in the 4th grade. He is in GATE (Gifted And Talented Education), and he enjoys those silly works a lot. One of their GATE assignments was to identify the everyday hero - MOM. MOM loves to SLEEP, MOM told him that “Have your own ideas, don’t just listen and follow others.” (The teacher wrote: “What a smart mom!” Mom totally agrees with the teacher!!) One thing learned from MOM is: “If you want other people be nice to you, you have to be nice to other people first.” One other assignment they had was to choose 4 most important things in their life. Sean picked: Accomplishment, Knowledge, Integrity, and Wealth. Sean enjoys drawing very much. Mom and Sean like to draw together and share their tips. Sean is an expert in Chinese yo-yo. He is able to do lots of tricks and he actually trained his friend, Roman (1/4 Hispanic, ¾ Italian), to do Chinese yo-yo too. Roman’s mom plans to sign him up for Chinese Culture Camp with Sean next summer. Sean’s other best friend, Jay, is a city Cowboy (WOW!!! He has his own horse!). Jay lives on a Ranch with cows, horses, dogs, cats, ducks, and rabbits. Jay wears cowboy boots all the time. If you ask, Jay would tell you many ways to get dog pu off his cowboy boots… Sean and Robert, Cousin Julie’s 3rd boy, are getting along so well. They can talk forever. Somehow, these 2 little monkeys talk softly and non-stop all the time. Sean and Robert are in the same Cub Scout Den.

Thomas is a 1st grader now. His legs are getting longer; his body is sure not from Mom’s side of the family! Thomas is tall and skinny, just like his dear Grandmother! Thomas is 6 years old, but hasn’t loss any of his baby teeth yet. However, Thomas enjoys taking his brothers’ teeth and putting them under his own pillow to fool the Tooth Fairy. The Tooth Fairy has been very generous to all of the boys so far! According to Ms. Roberts, Thomas is VERY INDEPENDENT, and he works VERY QUICKLY and NICELY. As for being the baby in the family? Hmmmmm… Every morning, except Saturday and Sunday (when the boys wake up all by themselves very early, and WHY????), MOM takes a clean shirt, puts over his head, places his jeans and socks next to him, PULLs him up from bed, and rushes him to the bathroom… He might sleep on the bathroom floor if the light was not on… Thomas is a member of our drawing team. We draw a lot lately. Thomas loves to dance and sing. Back Street Boys and Riche Yen are his super heroes. The boys went to Riche Yen’s council this fall!

That's All, Folks!

See Ya Next Year!
