Since Thomas going to preschool, he hasn't finish his lunches and has been getting skinny. So, finally, last Friday, after checking his lunch box, I couldn't stand it anymore. "Thomas, you need to finish your lunch at school, otherwise you won't grow." I told him. This Monday, while I was picking him up from preschool, he told me, "I finished my lunch." "Did you finish your Cheetos?" I asked. "Yep." Thomas replied. "Did you finish your drink?" I double checked. "Nope. Because I had too much to eat." He explained. Well, at least he finished his pizza today. And we will see if he remembers to finish his lunch from now on. (If you still remember Thomas with his bed wetting problem, and waking up in the night problem. He stopped doing it right after I told him not to.)Thomas is at the age that starts to be afraid of things. If the TV is too much for him, he will try to hide under the table while watching. Thomas will speak in perfect Chinese when he wants me sleep with him at bed time. “I (This is the English “I”) ya ni pay wou shuei!”
One major problem we are facing now is that Thomas turns on all the lights all the time. So, as the rabbit pu-s where ever he (yes, the rabbit is a boy also!!) goes, Thomas turns on all the lights where ever he goes. If you wonder where Thomas is, just follow the lights! This morning, he waked up BEFORE I leave the house. "Is today school day?" He asked as usual. "Yes." I replied as usual. He was holding himself. So, I asked him to pee first. On the way to the restroom, Thomas turned all the lights on. "Make sure to turn the lights off when you are finished." I reminded him. "Then I won't be able to go pee again." He cried loud with a very sad voice. “Fine! Let the lights on if I can save my day.” I told myself.
Finally, Thomas came back and set on the sofa shuffling. I put a blanket around him. "Then I have to pee again." He said. Then he did. I put the blanket around him again. "Then I have to pee again." And he did again. I put the blanket around him one more time. "Then I have to pee again." And he did again. "I think there is somehow a connection between peeing and the blanket!" I exclaimed to Jeffrey. "Do you want your LITTLE BLANKET?" I asked. "Hun-hum." He nodded. Finally, he didn't go pee again.
Don't ask me how and why peeing has anything to do with the big blanket. I don't know. But, now, I understand why he has been saying the same thing for weeks.
